Glen Echo was once a fairground and amusement park from 1891 until 1968. Located in Maryland, across the Potomac River from Washington, DC, it was a popular getaway for politicians and their families. Unfortunately, it has been neglected for decades. It has since begun extensive renovations thanks to the National Park Service and is being restored as a community for the arts.
