Wandering Stars

A small town fifty miles northwest of Baltimore in rural Pennsylvania was the site of the bloodiest battle of the United States Civil War. On the first three days of July in 1863, 51,000 soldiers were killed, captured, wounded, or went missing.
There is now a large cemetary and field dedicated to those who fought and died. States on both sides of the Mason Dixon have since erected monuments and memorials, honoring their sacrifice.
